Q: How do I order a board?
A: You can order a board by going to the "Order Form" page on the menu, above. We offer 2 options: 1) a fixed menu where we choose what goes in your board or 2) you can customize your own board.
Q: What size are your boards and how many people do they feed?
A: All standard board come in a 9 inch diameter round box. These boards are best suited for intimate gatherings such as date nights, or smaller groups of 2-4 people, depending on whether the board is used as a snack or as a whole meal (and how hungry you are!). We also offer personal-sized boards for 1 person! When you order through our order form, you can select whether you want a standard sized or personal sized board.
Q: How do I place a larger order, such as a grazing table?
A: We love creating larger boards for special occasions! Please fill out an inquiry form under the Events and Grazing tab of our website and we will get back to you with more information soon.
Q: How far in advance do I need to order?
A: For a standard board, we require 24 hours' notice. For a grazing table or larger board, we ask for one week's notice.
Q: I see on your order form that you only offer pick-up/delivery on Wednesdays - Sundays. What if I want to place an order for Monday and Tuesdays?
A: We are occasionally able to accommodate requests for Mondays and Tuesdays. Please contact us directly at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone/text at 484-685-3875 to inquire. Our boards also last a couple of days if properly refrigerated, so another option is to order in advance. If you refrigerate your board, please make sure you let the cheese come back to room temperature before enjoying.
Q: How do deliveries work?
A: We currently deliver to the Philadelphia area zip codes listed in our order form. Select a time for delivery on the order form, and we will deliver sometime in the one hour following the time you select.
Q: How do pick-ups work?
A: We partner with two locations for pick-ups: The Bottle Shop (in Passyunk Square) and Mural City (in Kensington) where you can pick up your board at the check-out counter. On our order form, just select which location you'd like to pick up your board at and the the time you'd like to pick up your board. (Pro-tip: both places have indoor/outdoor seating and allow you to enjoy your board there with their selections of drinks!)
Q: What is your policy on cancellations?
A: Unfortunately we do not allow cancellations. If you need to reschedule your pick-up or delivery date, we can do that as long as we have 24 hours' notice.
Q: Can I reschedule my pick-up or delivery?
A: Yes! As long we we have 24 hours' notice we are able to reschedule pick up and deliveries. Please reach out to us at 484-685-3875 to reschedule.
Q: I have a dietary restriction. Can you still make me a board?
A: Yes! We are happy to work around dietary restrictions or food allergies. Please let us know if you have any allergies or restrictions on the order form.
Q: What is an "artisanal" cheese?
A: Artisanal cheeses are hand-crafted with milk from a known source. Our local and artisanal cheeses are made in small-batches almost exclusively made from the cheesemaker's own herd, which guarantees high quality milk and thus cheese.
Q: Do you offer any vegan cheeses?
A: Not at the moment because we haven't found the perfect vegan cheese yet. (On that note, please get in touch if you have a vegan cheese you love that is local to the Philadelphia area!)
Q: How long will my board last if unopened/uneaten?
A: We think our boards are best enjoyed the same day you get it, but they will last a few days if properly refrigerated. If you refrigerate the board, please make sure you let the cheese come back to room temperature before enjoying.
Q: How are you ensuring safety with COVID-19?
A: Both of us are fully vaccinated, but even so, we take Covid-19 very seriously. Although the CDC says that there is little risk of spreading the virus through food, we are taking the proper precautions to ensure your safety. We wear masks and gloves when preparing our boards (in addition to standard food safety protocols). We also reserve the right to cancel and refund your order if we do not feel well, have a temperature, or believe we have been exposed to someone who has COVID-19.
